More to the point:
Western law is not simply different from sharia law…. it is BETTER.
And if I were living under a theocracy and a mad regime bent on fulfilling prophecies of bronze age superstitions and vowed to go nuclear, I would welcome the help of any country willing to support me in my fight for representation and democracy. As they are now in these countries.
The second false premise in your statement is they are all ticked off. Thats not true at all.

@davitodude
That is a flase premise to begin with.
For that to square you’d have to prove to me the following:
- that women like not being allowed to go to school
- that infidels like being terrorized
- that people who commit apostasy like being killed
- that people dont like freedom of speech, religion, expression
- that people want limits on music and literature
- etc.
I dont know any group this is true about. P.S. That was too easy.

Sadly, Dr. Paul is a man of reality.
Explain to me how keeping U.S. troops in Muslim nations would make the world a better place. They live on the other side of the planet and have a completely different culture. If a predominately Muslim nation were to come here to ‘save us’ by implementing Sharia law wouldn’t you be a little ticked off?

You must know very little about the middle east, world economies, concepts of comparative advantage and trade…
If you did, you would know a democratized middle east, a crucial choke point in the world economy, would yield a higher ROI than anything we could hope to get from domestic investment. It would be a bigger economic boom than you could imagine.

No, we shouldn’t give up. I’m just saying we should be getting paid buy regional powers to do what we are doing, if not we will collaspe becuase we will run out of money. It’s kind of a no brainer.

What a sappy remark from Ron Paul as always!
“There’s so many injustices in the world, and how can we correct those”
Shall we give up then? Afterall, the world isnt perfect. Why try to improve it?
Make that capitulation if you like Ron, but i think most people would rather trade up for a better tradition of human solidaity, freedom from religious bullying, woman rights, etc. And I think you should be ashamed of not fighting for those principles too.

Ummm… Ron Paul has had one stance on war and nation building since he became an elected official, and he has not jumped the fence. If anything, other republicans jumped to the other side of the fence and became supporters of the war.

If anyone ever had any doubt that the media is owned and operated by the same cartel that funds the political parties, take a look at this nonsense. They would actually try to make people believe the USA is in Afghanistan and Iraq for “humanitarian reasons”. Yes, the taliban are a heinous primitive bunch of scumbags, but ask yourself this, who has killed more Afghans in the last 5 years, the taliban or the US military? The hypocrisy is astounding.

@soulfeltart We need the military to protect our boarders.Pull them out of the Middle East, have them build a big wall, give a 6th month grace period to illegals who are already here, where if they come foward and admit thier crime, they can be granted citizenship, and then cut the military down to a smaller size, and defederalize police. What we are seeing is military and police begining martial law in this country, and they should be protecting the boarder, not seting up illegal checkpoints on roads.

Heck, I think he could generate more attention by dumping his lost party – dropping a bomb so to speak. I know that’s wishful thinking but it’s exactly what a LOT of independent-minded people wanted him to do a few years ago. I know all about ’88 but this is a different time. Though ideological opposites, I’d take the likes of Paul & (indep) Sanders over 99 % of the hypocrites in the House/Senate. Common ground on MIC WA$TE, FED, war on drugs, Patriot Act, foreign policy, etc.

Do people actually believe this abuse of women only happens in Afghanistan? Wow. Look around. Pick up a book. Read. This shit happens in many countries around the world. Afghanistan just happens to be a political talking point in order to keep funding the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama wars in the Middle East.

I got a revolutionary idea- have the military arrest and jail everyone in the gov that has been getting away with “over our heads” criminal activities, come home from EVERYWHERE they’re at, defend OUR borders, and break the chokehold of all shameful politics. We NEED to give our TROOPS the choice, their OWN choice outside of the collective brainwash of FOLLOWING strict orders- and see what happens- 98% of them would be here in a heart beat

also think about how they use OUR military as if they were pawns, to go kill people and INVADE other countries. Afghan will fight forever, it disgusts me that we have been in war for almost 10 years. I feel like our “gov” is more of a dictatorship submerged in a thick political fuck-soup. great- now they will try to hunt me down and get rid of me, because I speak out against them! haha, for expressing an interest in freedom that is being held from us, right here in the “Land of the Free”!?
